Multiplicities* undertook the renovation and recycling of a house originally designed by Oscar Hagerman with a strategy that both preserves its architectural character and expands its adaptability. The design team demolished the original stairs and reconfigured the interior to allow the house to be divided horizontally, enabling it to function either as two independent apartments or as a single unified dwelling. A continuous use of black terrazzo with marble aggregate defines the project, applied seamlessly to both interior and exterior surfaces to create material continuity and a renewed identity. The main architectural features are the new cantilevered stairs, along with terraces and a bridge that wrap around and connect the house through a central patio, reinforcing spatial relationships while emphasizing circulation as a key architectural element.

The house also operated as an artist studio for Rodrigo Aldana (RIP), integrating spaces for living and artistic production within the same architectural framework.
